Ear Massage is an extremely relaxing and effective therapy aimed at reducing stress, promoting wellbeing and addressing various health issues. It can be enjoyed by all and promotes a deep sense of peace and tranquillity.

The ear has been mapped in detail to reflect associated areas within the entire human body and when Marma (energy) points are massaged, they relay energetic information between the mind and the body's organs and tissues thereby releasing blockages and balancing the energy. This goes beyond the physical and penetrates the body at a much deeper level where true healing takes place.

MARMA POINT massage dates back to 1500BC and is still an important part of Ayurvedic healing. It is thought to have originated from an ancient martial art where fighters used to target their opponent's marma points as a means of inflicting injury and pain. Marma therapy was then used to heal the wounded by stimulating areas that corresponded to their injuries. Marma means hidden and is a juncture on the body where two or more types of tissue meet. These points are more than a connection of fluids and tissue and are intersections of the vital life force and prana or breath.

Treatment involves you being comfortably relaxed (fully clothed) on the therapy couch where I will apply a small amount of oil/cream to your right ear and perform a sequence of massage moves. This will then be repeated on the left ear. Following this, a small amount of warm sesame oil will gently be poured into each ear in turn to cleanse. Finally, whilst resting for a few moments, I will channel Reiki by placing my hands in various positions on/over your head and face to assist with healing and relaxation.
